Some things I have learned!

I have actually found it enlightening to have to think about things I normally would not. It's not everyday that you sit down and think about the origination of the radio, and how TV was developed because of that. I was surprised to see how many people thought that all technology was a result of a previous one. I think I was one of a few that believed that in certain cases, single acts of genius did happen with inventions. It was interesting to learn from Jenna that there are 44,000 radio stations worldwide! That's alot of radio. Also, that radio advertising is accredited to almost 20 BILLION dollars in revenue! That's crazy to me. It became clear that radio has become a huge economic contributor to all of us.

That's why we're taking this class sweetie.

It's true that we don't often notice the presence of radio all around us. it's just something we turn on to distract ourselves in the car. But if everyone just keeps it on in the background like that, it still ads up to a lot of listeners. I realized just now that I probably listened to radio more than I watch TV. You tend to think of TV as the modern pleasure, and radio as something old fashioned, so it's surprising to notice that.
